Bangladesh is a costal state and the sea in the southern part of Bangladesh contributes a lot in the development of Bangladesh. Even though this area of law is very important but we do not have sufficient number of experts in this area. Therefore, this area of law should be focused. My experience in Maritime Law: A. Under this project I review laws relating to Inland Water Transport Laws under the six broad headings i.e. (i) Registration and Certification of Barge; (ii) Safety Equipment Certification; (iii) Route Permit; (iv) Safety Construction Certificate; (v) Safe Manning Certificate and (vi) Load Lining Certificate. B. Research Associate, Barrister Nawshad Zamir, “Study on Services Sectors in Bangladesh”. The project was commissioned by the European Union. Under this project we have reviewed the rules and regulations relating to World Trade Organisation’s Four Modes of Supply of the Service Sectors of Bangladesh. While doing so, we considered the regulatory bodies, market access regulations and legal framework in the area of A. Maritime transport services ( a. Passenger transportation, b. Freight transportation, c. Rental of vessels with crew, d. Maintenance and repair of vessels, e. Pushing and towing services, f. Supporting services for maritime transport) and B.
